Business Profile
This is a rare opportunity indeed, reluctantly available due to changed circumstances.
You get to own this fantastic family villa in the SW of France, 100% ready for immediate occupation, together with a long established and fully supported holiday letting income.
Freedom to choose whatever dates you want for your own use, with high levels of income available at all other times. All the complicated things like organising house cleaning, laundry, pool maintenance, caretaking etc., were sorted out a long time ago (using English staff who permanently reside in the area), as have all the administrative tasks like booking procedures, letting documentation, insurance, rates etc.
This is more than just up & running – you’ll receive the existing booking income from your date of purchase too. We`re presenting the sale detail using a dedicated website (www.swfr.co.uk) with a link at the bottom of each page taking you on to the next step - and this is probably the best way to view what`s on offer.
You are also recommended to visit our customer facing website (www.boye.co.uk) for more pictures & descriptions, and you`re obviously very welcome to contact us with any queries using the contact form provided on the website.
Key Strengths:
“Location, Location, Location”.
Never has a truer phrase been said when buying property. There have always been thousands of holiday homes available for sale in France – so we thought it would be a simple task 23 years ago to go and buy one and set up a holiday letting business. Well, it wasn’t.
Our requirements seemed simple enough: a big family house set in its own peaceful grounds, not overlooked, somewhere nice and sunny, not a spoilt tourist area, near to shops, bars and restaurants.
The impossible bit was combining “peaceful” with “near to shops, bars and restaurants”, because all the houses in pleasant settings (and there are lots of them) are miles from anywhere, and locations near to towns frankly ranged from distinctly second rate to industrial wasteland.
So we made many trips, and visited countless places, over several years (there’s a whole page about our search on www.swfr.co.uk), before stumbling upon not just a lucky find, but pretty much perfection. Maison Boye at Caylus, SW France.
A totally private, idyllic setting on a wooded plateau, open views to the south, a beautiful stone built house, nearest neighbour over a quarter of a mile away, with the shops, bars and restaurants just down the road – either a couple of minutes by car, or a delightful stroll down the quiet country lane.
Only one problem: it was derelict. But this meant it could be sympathetically restored to perfectly suit our needs – a fantastic retreat for our growing family, and a purpose built design for running an upmarket letting business.
Despite escalating costs, we transformed the place into what we had always dreamt of, and a year later we opened the doors to clients and have remained fully booked for as many weeks as we want ever since. Of course we made mistakes and learned a lot. We struggled with just about every aspect to start with, but through a policy of always resolving problems properly we have ended up 20 years later with everything sorted, everything in place, and a business solution ready to pass on.
There are many key strengths – you are not only buying a property that scores perfection on location, but also one that is fully operational in every respect, an absolutely ready-to-go business. In fact, as you read this now, the chances are that a client will be happily relaxing around the pool whilst paying us £2000 a week for the privilege.
